LAND 2097 Ph4 will acquire a new simple, proven and reliable commercial or military Off-The-Shelf helicopter. The light helicopter will weigh about four tones and will have a proven ability to be rapidly prepared for and recovered by Air transport.
Plan Corella seeks to leave 1 to 3 or more commercial medium sized, twin engine helicopters. The helicopters will be based with the 5th Aviation Regiment in Townsville and be capable of deploying within Australia for a variety of military and Defence support tasks.
